Is there a limit to the number of sessions I can have with a therapist?
There is no limit to the sessions a student has access to, you will be able to make use of them as much as needed. Please note that Empower Me is meant to offer quick, on-the-spot mental wellness support rather than an in-depth approach to mental health support and long-term recovery. Your file will begin with 6 free sessions, and may be renewed at no additional cost.
If I have been seeing a therapist through Empower Me and wish to continue having sessions with the same therapist beyond the end of my eligible coverage period, will I be able to?
While access to Empower Me ends along with the end of your eligibility for the Health and Dental Plan, you will still be able to purchase individual therapy sessions directly from your therapist. Please note that if you wish to do so, you will need to make the necessary arrangements by speaking with your therapist about this directly.
