Hive Free Meals on Loyola Campus

The CSU recognizes that students at Loyola have limited affordable food options.

The Free Meal Program provides free, vegan meals every weekday during the school year at Concordia’s Loyola campus (SC-200).

Our meals are served on the second floor of the SC Building on Loyola campus. The program focuses on serving nutritious, high-quality food while considering the social and environmental impacts of what we eat. This program is made possible through funding from ASFA and the CSU as well as the dedication of our staff and volunteers.

Meal Schedule

We ask everyone to bring their own container and utensils to reduce waste. Compostable bowls are available for purchase for $0.25 each if needed.

Free Groceries

Free groceries are available every Wednesday from 4:00–5:00 PM.
A valid Concordia student ID is required, and students are encouraged to bring their own bags
.

Our Space

The Free Meal Program space is designed to be welcoming and practical for students. It includes:

Volunteering

Volunteers are the backbone of this program. You’re welcome to drop in any weekday between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM, even if you only have 15 minutes. Washing dishes, sweeping, drying dishes, or prepping vegetables all make a real difference.

For those looking to commit more regularly, we encourage weekly volunteer time blocks of one, two, or three hours. These consistent shifts help the program run more smoothly and support our coordinators.

Students who commit to a two- or three-hour weekly shift may be eligible to record their involvement on their Co-Curricular Record through the Concordia Dean of Students Office.
