What is Council?
Council meetings are where decisions get made. Meetings must reach a quorum (minimum
attendance) of at least one third of Councillors for decisions to be binding. All council meetings are open to the
public and we encourage all undergraduate students to attend!

Regular Council Meetings
Regular Council Meetings (RCMs) take place at least once per month during the academic year.
Our bylaws set meetings on the second Wednesday of all months, with additional meetings set on the fourth Wednesdays
of October, November, and January. We’ve adjusted our meeting dates this year to accommodate the needs of our
councillors.

Special Council Meetings
Special Council Meetings (SCMs) can be called in addition to Regular Council Meetings to
discuss specific issues or at times when items need to be discussed and decided upon before a scheduled Regular
Council Meetings. Any information for SCMs will be listed here, at least three business days before the meeting.
