Description and Scope:
The Concordia Student Union (CSU) is an organization run separately from the University governing bodies at-large, and was created to represent the voice of the undergraduate student body at Concordia.

A team of elected student executives and 50+ staff work within the Union to represent and advocate for student rights, offer services that benefit the undergraduate student population, and overall aim to have a positive impact on the student life experience at Concordia.

The CSU is a unionized workplace that values diversity and teamwork.  It offers a dynamic and collaborative framework that encourages fresh ideas and active listening, while fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.

The CSU reception (SGW Campus) is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Work schedules are flexible to suit the demands of your class schedule (in the case of part-time positions), as well as the schedules and availabilities of the team members you will be working with.

At the reception desk, we pride ourselves on being friendly and attentive active listeners. Regarding the work that we do, our focus is on problem-solving and resourcefulness. As a receptionist you are the first person that students meet and interact with when they enter the CSU office, so we count on you to make a good and lasting impression. Students will come to you for information on a broad range of subjects and rely on your guidance. In addition to helping students, you perform other duties within your role, including reserving and managing the calendar for office meeting rooms and other CSU spaces, accepting and filing mail and documents, and approving posters for the public boards.
