Polling Clerk

Length/type of position: Temporary contract / Part-time
Hourly Rate: $18 per hour

Description: Polling Clerks are responsible for overseeing the polling process and ensuring all election regulations are followed. They will work with the Chief Electoral Officer and Deputy Electoral Officer to facilitate the most efficient possible polling process. There are multiple Polling Clerk positions to be filled for both the SGW and Loyola campuses.
This is a short-term position for full days on November 12th, 13th, and 14th.

Responsibilities:
– Checking students’ eligibility
– Ensuring private and individual voting
– Answering questions and representing the CSU during the election
– Ensuring fairness and a properly conducted election

Requirements:
– Concordia undergraduate student enrolled in the Fall 2024 semester
– good communication skills
– Detail-oriented
– Approachable
– Reliable
– Candidates cannot be: (a) Members the Judicial Board, (b) Members of the Council of Representatives, (c) Members of the Executive, (d) Members of the University Senate, or (e) Members of the Board of Governors
